Dentist....s....and a Hospital...

After having a toothache for a while, last week, I finally went to the dentist. They found that I need both a new filling and a root canal. I also have no insurance and little money. Went to a second dentist at Dad's request, as he believed they could do the job for less. Short explanation, it was the opposite. So I'm sticking with my dentist and tomorrow I'll be having what I need done. This should be fun.

The little money I have has also forced my hand in my job search. I can't wait any longer, and so I took Dad up on his offer to get me a job at the hospital he works at. I officially feel like a worthless piece of shit. But if there's a paycheck I suppose it's worth it. Dad suddenly brightened up a little, somehow outlining my future in the space of a few minutes. Quite uncomfortable to sit through. He even said that I'll probably meet someone special. While I'm sure there are many attractive women working at the hospital, I seriously doubt any of them will want anything to do with me. But like I said, a paycheck.

The next week or two should be interesting, and probably a lot of negative things. Let's see how it works out.

  1. Sorry to hear about the toothache.

Take the job for the summer, save up some money and start doing what you want to do. From reading your tweets for the last two years I can tell being involved in the entertainment industry is your passion. You're not going to make it happen by sitting in your room or working a menial job in a hospital.

I follow you on Twitter because I like the fact that you're a dreamer. But every day you don't do anything or give it up for something you're not passionate about the dream eventually fades.

    Don't be that person.

You want to write a comics. Write them. Go on Craigslist find the right artist and put it up on the web. Hopefully it will get noticed.

You want to write movies. Write one and enter it in competition.

You want to make movies. Go buy a cheap digital camera and create a web series.

You want to create creature masks. Move out to LA and try to get an apprenticeship with a company that does that. Or get a shit job out there as you actually write and try to sell your script.

Out there you can get a job as a production assistant (gopher) and work on commercials and/or films. It pays shit but it gets you experience on a set.

Right now your life is at a crossroads. Make sure you follow the path that will bring you happiness.
