So, THIS HAPPENED....

It started with this, a simple tease of the Batmobile to be featured in SUPERMAN/BATMAN posted by Zack Snyder...

He then suggested that a full reveal of the most awesome car in the history of cars would come the next day. Around the same time someone on twitter said they couldn't wait to see the costumes to be sported by Batman and Wonder Woman in the movie, mentioning the films costume designer, who then responded with a mention of 'soon'. The next day, BOOM;

I don't know what to say. Both Batman and the Batmobile look like they've stepped right off the page. Snyder has always been a wonderfully visual director, so trust him to give us a Batman that could translate literally to or from a comic book. He looks amazing. The suit builds upon the suits we've seen on film before, but gives us something we've never seen. The symbol on the chest is big and elegant. The belt looks like a genuine utility belt, while the gauntlets look like genuine gauntlets. The cowl and cape seem to be one piece. The Batmobile look practically like a spaceship. I know with Snyder mentioning THE DARK KNIGHT RETURNS as an influence on the movie everyone was expecting a giant Bat-tank, but the fact that this Batmobile looks so different from Miller's version of the vehicle, and the suit only has comparable elements to Miller's Batsuit's, I think emphasizes the fact that that book is influence material not source material.

I can't wait for this movie, I've been excited for it my whole life, and now it's happening. Superman's costume will be seeing some revisions for this movie, and I look forward to seeing what those changes are. But if I'm being honest I really, truly, can't wait to see what Wonder Woman looks like. This will be our first big screen, live-action, Wonder Woman. This look at the films Batman, and knowing the style of Superman and the Kryptonians from MAN OF STEEL, just makes me more excited to see the Amazon of Amazon's for the first time.

The Flash First Look: Don't Blink

The Flash is coming to the CW :-) . This is the first promo that appeared during the season 2 finale of ARROW. And I like it a lot. It pretty sums up the character in a solid way and comes right out and states 'shared universe'. I don't think any of this footage is from the actual pilot, not at all. Instead I think this was simply a specially filmed promo just to let folks know, hey, The Flash is on his way. The costume, which I was fine with before, looks nice in motion and the superspeed effect looks decent. Can't wait to see the show. So next season; THE FLASH and season 3 of ARROW on the CW. Awesome.

**EDIT**
Full extended first look is now officially online, check it out;

How awesome was that, October can't get here soon enough. I can't even begin to analyze this thing. It's just so full of comic booky goodness.

DAWN OF THE PLANET OF THE APES - Official Trailer #2 (2014) [HD]

APES!!! TOGETHER!!! STRONG!!!

I am a huge fan of the Planet Of The Apes series, yes, I even find things to like about Tim Burton's film. My hopes are high for Dawn, especially after Rise. For anyone who knows the Apes movies you know there are multiple timelines at work. The pre-Beneath timeline, Planet and Beneath, and the perhaps more hopeful post-Escape timeline, Escape/Conquest/Battle. And this new run of movies feels like the original timeline, meaning darker and nastier than we wish such a future would be. And since they've already announced a third film to follow in this run, it looks like Apes are here to stay again, at least for a little while. But I'm really wondering what they might do after that third film hits.
