There's a new MAD MAX coming, if you haven't seen the original trilogy seek them out please. This one will count as the fourth. And word is there will be two more to follow. Mel Gibson played the character in the trilogy, while Tom Hardy will be taking over for the new films. I'm quite looking forward to them.
I had a random thought lately, on how I'd like to see the torch passed from one to the other. Excuse me while I indulge in some fanboy thinking;
At the start of the movie, Tom Hardy's character comes upon a wreck and finds Mel Gibson's MAX inside, he pulls him out and toss' him to the ground. As he begins searching for anything that can be salvaged Gibson's character wakes up. Hardy looks down at him as Gibson struggles to say something, he leans closer, and hears "...Max....". Gibson dies of course. And a little ways into the movie, someone asks Hardy his name, he hesitates, then replies simply "Max".
Just a thought.
